Your Priests all have varying degrees of power. Those with greater power can make sweeping movements greatly altering the course of the struggle. Lesser Priests, while more limited in might, are able to move more freely. Movement A piece can move horizontally, vertically or diagonally exactly the number of spaces as the value currently on the die.
